Jubilee Street Party

I don’t know if you heard, but it was the Queen’s 60th Jubilee this weekend.  There was a street party.  I took some pictures.

There were flags.

And bunting.

This lady wore a festive hat.

There were some really English people outside the (best) pub (ever).

And also more bunting.

And there was this guy.

Did I mention the bunting?

On my walk home, I saw this sign at the Christian café in our neighborhood.

Anyone interested in a Jubilee New Testament?

(and look!  bunting shadows!)

You’re welcome.

  1. What I would give to join you for cream tea under shadows of jubilee bunting.

We had nothing like this level of patriotism here in the colonies. Looks like fun!

  3. What a fun day! Thanks so much for letting us be part of the party! <3
