When I was at skirt!, I worked with a man named Chris, who edited another magazine. Chris and his wife, Pam, are lovely people who came to my housewarming party, and gave me pretty blue candlesticks, and are lovers of words.
Chris and Pam have a son named Jake, who has Asperger’s sydrome and Krohn’s disease. Last week, Jake had surgery for his Krohn’s disease. This morning, I got word – shocking word – that Jake passed away due to complications from his surgery.
Jake was around 20 years old, and I know Chris and Pam’s hearts are broken to have lost their only son, a million times more broken than mine as I pray for them.
Please, lift them up in your prayers today.
